Frosting & Filling

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 5 to 6 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Pink and green sprinkles from 1 container Betty Crocker™ 6-Cell All Holidays Sprinkles

Instructions

    Preheat your oven to 350°F. Place a paper baking cup in each of 22 regular-size muffin cups.

    In a large bowl, add your cake mix, water, oil, and eggs as directed on the box. Mix until well combined.

    Scoop your batter into the prepared muffin pan and bake as directed on the box. Remove from oven and let cool completely.

    Meanwhile, in large bowl, mix butter and powdered sugar until blended. Add cream and vanilla; mix until frosting is smooth and spreadable. Set aside.

    Using a cupcake corer, spoon or knife, core out the center of your cupcakes, saving the center pieces. Fill half of cupcakes with desired amount of pink sprinkles and the other half with green sprinkles. Replace the center pieces and gently press on top of each cupcake.

    Frost your cupcake tops. Take a bite to see which side you belong on. Share and enjoy!!
