Ingredients
- 3 lb Bartlett pears, cut into chunks
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom
- 3/4 cup salted butter, divided
- 1 box Betty Crocker™ Delights Super Moist™ Spice Cake Mix

Step1Preheat the oven to 375°F.

Step2Add pears to a large mixing bowl and combine with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom. Ensure that all pears are coated.

Step3Grease a 12-inch cast iron skillet with nonstick baking spray. Add the pears to the skillet.

Step4Melt 1/2 cup of butter; cut the remaining 1/4 cup butter into small chunks.

Step5Evenly pour cake mix on top of the pears; pour melted butter on top of the cake mix. Then, add the chunks of butter on top.

Step6Bake for 40 minutes, until the top is browned and the pears are fork tender. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
