Created January 10, 2017
This Father’s Day, score a hole-in-one with a brunch menu that suits Dad’s tastes to a tee. Whether he’s a bacon, egg or French toast kinda guy, we’ve got just the thing to keep him fueled all the way to the 19th hole.

Hole-in-One Service

Purchase paper napkins with a golf-theme design. Wrap sets of knives, forks and spoons together in a napkin, and tie with cord or yarn. Place them at the end of the buffet for the guests to pick up after they get their food. Serve this brunch buffet style on your deck or in your backyard.

Par for the Party

Give prizes for the longest and shortest drives, lowest and highest scores, closest to the pin and hole in one. Golf towels, gloves and sleeves of balls make great prizes. For a fun party favor, place colorful tees in small jars or clear plastic bags and tie with ribbons.

Ingredients

    • 6kaiser rolls (4 to 5 inches in diameter)
    • 6Land O Lakes® all-natural farm-fresh eggs
    • 6teaspoons heavy whipping cream
    • 6tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
    • 3teaspoons chopped fresh chives
    • 3teaspoons finely chopped fresh parsley
    • Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Directions

  • 1Heat oven to 400°F. Line cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper. Cut thin 3-inch round slice from tops of rolls; reserve tops. Leaving 1/2 inch around side of each roll, remove bread from inside, creating 1/2-inch deep cavity; discard bread crumbs. Place bread bowls on cookie sheet.
  • 2For each bread bowl, crack egg into cavity. Top egg with 1 tablespoon whipping cream, 1 tablespoon cheese, 1/2 teaspoon chives and 1/2 teaspoon parsley; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • 3Bake 10 minutes; place reserved tops on bread bowls. Bake 2 minutes longer or until cheese is melted and whites and yolks of eggs are firm, not runny.
