Pecan Pie is a classic dessert, but it’s even better in bar form with chocolate! Pecan pie bars are easier to serve and eat than pie, and they have a bigger crust to filling ratio, which is extra tasty when the crust is a chocolate chip cookie!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best way to mix this dough?

It will take a while to mix the cookie dough together, so I suggest using a hand mixer or stand mixer. Don’t give up–it will come together in cookie dough form.

Should I use hard, soft or melted butter?

Because it takes a while for the dough to mix up, I recommend that you use butter that is very soft but not melted.

What size should the pecans be for this recipe?

Chop your pecans so they are small and evenly coat the top of the bars. That way you’ll get pecan in every bite.
