When you need to feed a crowd, there are few dishes as dependable as chili. Beef, beans (as long as you’re not in Texas!), tomatoes and seasonings make it hearty and downright delicious. In fact, it’s hard to make a chili that doesn’t turn out great. So really the only drawback is that it can be hard to come up with a side that can stand up to a bowl of chili. Sure cornbread’s classic—and there’s nothing wrong with that!—but if you’re low on ingredients, need to accommodate someone with dietary restrictions or just want to shake things up, these recipes are Betty’s best sides for chili night!
