    Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom of 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray. Make and bake brownies as directed on box. Cool completely on cooling rack, about 1 hour.

    Frost brownies. Coarsely crush 10 of the chocolate wafer cookies; sprinkle over frosted brownies.

    Cut 5 chocolate wafer cookies to look like tombstones by carefully cutting about 3/8 inch off two opposite sides of each cookie.

    Using white decorating gel, write on tombstones.

    Place tombstones on brownies sticking into frosting. Decorate as desired with candy decorations. Store loosely covered at room temperature.
