Watermelon-Strawberry Agua Fresca

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cubed seedless watermelon
  • 2 cups halved fresh strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup packed fresh mint or cilantro leaves
  • 3 cups chilled sparkling water

Instructions

    In blender or food processor, place watermelon, strawberries, and lime juice. Cover and blend about 30 seconds or until smooth. Place large fine-mesh strainer over medium bowl. Pour fruit mixture into strainer; let stand 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Discard fruit pulp in strainer.

    In large pitcher, place mint leaves; press with the back of spoon to bruise leaves. Add strained fruit mixture to pitcher. Add sparkling water; stir gently to mix. Serve over ice.
