Strawberry Shortcake Chex Treats

These bite-size beauties are easy to make using Rice Chex cereal, marshmallows and angel food cake. Add the freshest strawberries you can find, and you'll have a sensational summer dessert.
Strawberry Shortcake Chex Treats

Ingredients
- 2 cups cut-up fresh strawberries
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 bag (10 oz) large marshmallows or 4 cups miniature marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Chex™ cereal
- 2 1/2 cups cubed (1 inch) angel food cake
- 2 cups Cool Whip frozen whipped topping, thawed
Instructions

Step1Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish or pan with cooking spray.

Step2Toss strawberries with sugar; set aside.

Step3In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 45 seconds or until melted. Add marshmallows; toss to coat. Microwave 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds longer. Stir until marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is well blended.

Step4Add cereal; mix well. Add angel food cubes; mix well.

Step5Using waxed paper or spatula sprayed with cooking spray, press mixture evenly into baking dish. Cool 15 minutes.

Step6For bars, cut into 6 rows by 3 rows. Top each with 1 tablespoon whipped topping and some strawberries. Serve immediately.
