Slow cook barbecue brisket to tender perfection with your favorite barbeque sauce and our homemade rub.
Slow-Cooker Barbecue Brisket

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon coarse salt
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon ground mustard
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 beef brisket (3 1/2 lb)
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions

Step1In small bowl, stir together all ingredients except beef and barbecue sauce. Rub mixture over beef. Place in resealable food-storage plastic bag; refrigerate at least 8 hours or overnight.

Step2In 3- to 4-quart slow cooker; place beef; pour barbecue over top.

Step3Cover; cook on Low heat setting 6 hours.

Step4Increase heat setting to High; cook 1 to 2 hours longer or until beef falls apart.

Step5Serve with additional barbecue sauce.
