- 1 2/3 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup real maple syrup
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 6 slices bacon, crisply cooked, crumbled (1/2 cup)

Step1Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 12 regular-size muffin cups with cooking spray.

Step2In large bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, baking soda and salt. In medium bowl, stir milk, syrup, butter and egg until blended. Add milk mixture to flour mixture; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in bacon. Fill muffin cups three-fourths full.

Step3Bake 16 to 18 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Immediately remove from pan. Serve warm.
