Freeze at least 3 hours or overnight.

Tips from the Betty Crocker Kitchens

  • tip 1
When separating egg yolks from egg whites, crack eggs, one at a time, and place each white into custard cup to ensure it is free of yolk before transferring to bowl.
  • tip 2
To soften ice cream, remove from freezer to refrigerator 20 to 30 minutes before needed.
  • tip 3
Try your favorite ice cream flavor instead of strawberry for a new flavor twist.
  • tip 4
This Easy Baked Alaska goes from freezer to a 500°F oven to brown the meringue. We use a metal baking pan for this recipe, as glass can shatter under high heat.
