Derby Bars

Ingredients
- 1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 3 tablespoons hot water
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions

Step1Heat the oven to 350°F.

Step2In a large bowl, using a pastry cutter or two knives, cut the Bisquick mix and butter together until the mixture resembles small peas. Stir in the water to make a soft, but crumbly dough. Press in bottom and ½ inch up sides of 8-inch or 9-inch square pan.

Step3Bake crust 15 minutes; remove from oven.

Step4Meanwhile, in a large bowl, beat the brown sugar, eggs butter, bourbon, and vanilla; stir in the pecan halves. Pour egg mixture over the crust. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top.

Step5Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until the topping is set and browned. Cool completely in pan on wire rack, about 1 hour. Cut into 5 by 5 rows.
