Chocolate Waffles with Slow-Cooker Boozy Berries

Ingredients
Berry Sauce
- 1 lb fresh strawberries, stems removed
- 6 oz fresh blueberries
- 6 oz fresh raspberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup orange-flavored liqueur
- Grated peel and juice of 1 medium orange
Waffles
- 2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
- 1 egg
- 1 1/3 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions

Step1Spray 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In slow cooker, place all sauce ingredients. Cover; cook on High heat setting 2 to 3 hours or until thickened.

Step2Toward end of cooking time, heat waffle iron. (Waffle irons without a nonstick coating may need to be brushed with vegetable oil or sprayed with cooking spray before batter for each waffle is added.) In large bowl, mix all waffle ingredients with whisk just until smooth.

Step3Pour slightly less than 3/4 cup batter onto center of hot waffle iron. (Check manufacturer’s directions for recommended amount of batter.) Close lid of waffle iron. Bake about 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Carefully remove waffle. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve waffles with warm berry sauce.
