BLT Bacon Burgers

Ingredients
Burgers
- 2 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
- 6 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
- 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Cooking spray or vegetable oil
Toppings and Buns
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 6 burger buns
- 6 lettuce leaves
- 6 to 12 slices crisply cooked bacon
- 1 medium ripe avocado, pitted, peeled and sliced
- 1 to 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
Instructions

Step1Heat charcoal or gas grill. In medium bowl, mix all burger ingredients except cooking spray. Shape mixture into 6 patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Spray patties with cooking spray, or lightly brush with oil.

Step2Place patties on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 11 to 13 minutes, turning once, until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160°F.

Step3Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise on bottom of each burger bun. Top each with lettuce, bacon, burger, avocado, tomato slice and bun top.
