Named for the Great Smoky Mountains that rise along the North Carolina-Tennessee border, the smoky flavor of this mix makes for a truly unique taste treat.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Rice Chex™ cereal
  • 4 cups Wheat Chex™ cereal
  • 12 cups pretzel sticks
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 tablespoon garlic-pepper seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 2 cups roasted smoke flavor almonds

Instructions

    In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals and pretzels.

    In 1-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter uncovered on High 30 to 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in pepper seasoning and liquid smoke. Pour over cereal mixture; toss to evenly coat.

    Microwave uncovered on High 3 to 4 minutes, stirring every minute until cereal begins to lightly brown. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool. Stir in almonds. Store in airtight container.
