Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 pound bulk Italian pork sausage
- 2 medium carrots, finely chopped (1 cup)
- 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped (1 cup)
- 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 16 ounces uncooked spaghetti
- Shredded fresh Parmesan cheese, if desired

Step1Cook beef and sausage in 10-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently, until beef is brown and sausage is no longer pink, about 8 minutes; drain.

Step2Mix beef mixture and remaining ingredients except spaghetti and Parmesan cheese in 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker.

Step3Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.

Step4About 20 minutes before serving, cook and drain spaghetti as directed on package. Serve sauce with hot cooked spaghetti and Parmesan cheese.
