Slow-Cooked Barbecued Pork on Buns

Ingredients
- 1 boneless pork roast (3 lb), trimmed of fat, cut into thin strips
- 3/4 cup chopped onion (1 large)
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
- 1 1/2 cups ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 18 sandwich buns, split
