Sesame Pork with Garlic Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds pork tenderloins
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup sesame seed
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives or 1 teaspoon freeze-dried chives

    Cut pork into 12 slices. Flatten pork slices to 1/2-inch thickness between sheets of plastic wrap or waxed paper.

    Set oven control to broil. Brush pork with oil. Place pork on rack in broiler pan. Sprinkle with half of the sesame seed. Broil pork with tops 4 to 6 inches from heat 6 minutes; turn. Sprinkle with remaining sesame seed. Broil about 5 minutes longer or until pork is slightly pink in center.

    Melt butter in 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Cook garlic in butter about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally; reduce heat. Add cream cheese and milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until smooth and hot. Stir in chives. Serve sauce with pork.
