It's true that everything tastes better with bacon. Our homemade Maple-Bacon Ice Cream is a sweet and salty taste-bud temptation.
Maple-Bacon Ice Cream

Ingredients
- 3 slices bacon
- 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips
- 2 cups half-and-half or whipping cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup real maple syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon maple flavor
- 2 teaspoons bourbon, if desired
Instructions

Step1In 10-inch skillet, cook bacon until crisp; drain on paper towels.

Step2In small microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips uncovered on High about 30 seconds; stir until melted and smooth. Coat 1 side of each bacon slice with chocolate; let stand until set.

Step3Meanwhile, in medium bowl, stir half-and-half, milk, syrup, sugar, maple flavor and bourbon with whisk. Pour into ice-cream freezer and freeze according to manufacturer’s directions.

Step4Cut chocolate-coated bacon into small pieces; stir into ice cream. Transfer to freezer container. Cover; freeze 2 hours or until serving time.
