- 1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
- 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 8 anchovy fillets, finely chopped*
- 3 tablespoons tarragon or wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
