- 1 package (6 oz) original long-grain and wild rice mix
- 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
- 1 small red bell pepper, chopped (1/2 cup)
- 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
- 6 cloves garlic, peeled
- 1 3/4 cups Progresso™ chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)
- 3 1/2 lb bone-in chicken pieces, skin removed

Step1Spray 3- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In slow cooker, mix rice, contents of seasoning packet, onion, bell pepper, oil, garlic and broth. Arrange chicken on top.
