Browning butter gives it a nutty, rich flavor that adds something spectacular to this simple green bean side dish!
Browned Butter and Garlic Green Beans

- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

Step1Place the green beans in a large, deep skillet and add in 1/2” of water. Cover and heat over medium-high heat until the beans are just barely fork tender (do not overcook), about 7 minutes. Drain beans, and set aside.

Step2Return the skillet to medium-low heat. Add the butter into the skillet, and cook, stirring frequently, until the butter begins to tint brown, about 5 minutes. Add in the garlic, and cook until the garlic is just fragrant, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat, add in the cooked green beans, and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper.

Step3Plate beans to a serving dish, then drizzle the rest of the butter from the skillet over top. Serve immediately.
