Betty Knows How to Party

Created January 10, 2017
Over the years, Betty’s always been our go-to for party planning, no matter the theme. This Halloween, why not be inspired by some of her vintage recipes?
Betty Knows How to Party

Betty’s always been the best at planning parties. Her 1960s Party Cookbook is packed with great recipes for any occasion. Check out these classic Halloween-themed marshmallow bars, found on page 100, simple enough to make the day-of.

Cocoa Marshmallow Bars

20 marshmallows
2 tbsp. butter
1/8 tsp. salt
4 cups Cocoa Puffs

Heat marshmallows, butter, and salt over hot water. Stir until smooth. Pour mixture over Puffs in buttered bowl and mix gently. Pat into greased 9’-inch square pan. Cool; cut into squares.
