So, if this strawberry and champagne-flavored cake doesn’t scream Pretty Woman to you, I don’t know what will. I mean, what could be better than sharing a heart-shaped layer cake with your sweetie, whoever they may be? Whether it’s for Valentine’s Day or just because, I know this is one sweet treat that should be on your dessert menu.

Don’t be fooled by the fancy flavors: This cake is actually very simple to make and requires few ingredients, thanks to Betty Crocker cake mix. A strawberry layer cake is topped with white chocolate buttercream frosting and sprinkles and basically, it’s the best thing ever.

To start, combine the ingredients for the cake mix, swapping the water called for on the box recipe for champagne (or sparkling rosé).

Pour the batter evenly into two 8-inch heart-shaped baking pans (or 9-inch round cake pans) coated with baking spray with flour. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, then cool cakes on a cooling rack completely. You can even stick them in the fridge for a bit so they’re easier to frost.

Meanwhile, make the frosting. Combine softened butter, melted white chocolate, powdered sugar and vanilla in a bowl until buttercream is smooth.

Carefully frost and stack both cake layers, then garnish with pretty sprinkles, edible glitter or pearl sugar.

Serve the cake with extra champagne and strawberries, if desired (and maybe a viewing of Pretty Woman with your girlfriends or sweetie, too).
