Topped with Love

Created January 10, 2017
Homemade freezer jams are an easy upgrade for pancakes and waffles—and the perfect way to share the sweetness of the season.

Topped with Love

We’ve topped our classic Bisquick pancake recipe with homemade freezer jams that’ll give traditional maple syrup a run for its money. Cindy Ensley of Hungry Girl Por Vida shares with us her Sweet’n Tart Apple Freezer Jam—a must for fall.

If tart’s not for you, and you’re looking for something sweeter, try Betty Crocker’s deliciously simple blueberry or strawberry freezer jam.

Here are a few tips to get you started:

1. Package up homemade freezer jams with our free downloadable gift labels. We love to give jams to teachers, friends and family!

2. Freezer jams last 3 weeks in the refrigerator and up to 6 months in the freezer. If freezing, pack jam loosely, leaving some room in the jar for expansion.

3. Don’t have time to make your own jam? Pick up your favorite preserve at the market and mix it with a seasonal fresh fruit for an instant pancake pick-me-up.

Fruity freezer jams are a simple and fresh way to top classic pancakes, but we want to know how your family likes to top pancakes?
