Snackspiration: Go Nuts

Created January 10, 2017
Almonds, cashews, macadamias, pecans—we love them all! And when it comes to snacking, these nine totally nutty treats are at the top of our list.
snackspiration: go nuts

Trail Mix: Make your own or grab the pre-mixed sort, either way, it’s a welcome dose of nostalgia with every bite! We’re suckers for the classic mix loaded with plenty of peanuts, chocolate candies and raisins.

Nut Crackers:
We love crunchy crackers made from nutritious almonds on their own or dressed up with peanut butter and sliced almonds (hey, the more the merrier!).

Chocolate-Covered Almonds:
We keep these on hand in lieu of candy bars. They deliver the perfect amount of chocolate while still providing a punch of much-needed protein as a late-afternoon snack.

Nut Bars: With just seven ingredients in each bar, we love Nature Valley’s new line of Simple Nut Bars. Try either flavor (Roasted Peanut and Honey or Almond Cashew Sea Salt) for a smart afternoon snack—neither disappoints!

Candied Peanuts:
Just as tasty as ones from street vendors, these crunchy peanuts are easy to make in your own kitchen (we swear!) with our NYC Nut Stand Cinnamon & Sugar Peanuts recipe.

Snack Mix:
With loads of shelled peanuts mixed with Corn Chex, Wheat Chex, mini breadsticks and pretzels in Peanut Lover’s Chex Mix, what’s not to love?

Chocolate Nut Clusters:
These genius little homemade treats come together in just minutes and deliver big on crunchy, chocolate-y deliciousness. To make, mix ¼ cup chopped nuts of your choice and 1 ounce melted dark chocolate. Finish by dropping by the spoonful onto wax paper and refrigerating until firm.

Peanut Bars:
Cravings for salted nut rolls are real, and when they strike, we recommend making your own. Sounds crazy, but once you try our Easy Salted Peanut Chews, you’ll be convinced!

Roasted Almonds:
Classic, simple and oh-so-satisfying, a handful of almonds a day helps promote heart health and prevent weight gain, and may even help fight diseases like diabetes and Alzheimer's.
