Since the day my daughter was born, I have been excited to have her help me in the kitchen. She is just 3 years old now and has only recently become interested in what I am doing in the kitchen. It always makes me smile when she goes to get her step stool and pulls it over to see what I’m making. It’s still mostly just watching at this point, but it seems like every day she wants to try something new.
There are days when she is content to watch, but more and more, she wants to get in on the action. So I have been trying to find more dinner ideas that are easy enough for a 3-year-old to participate in. One of her all-time favorite meals is pizza, so this easy recipe is one that we have often, not only for dinner. It makes for an easy lunch as well. And I love it because my daughter can have her cheese pizza, while I can load up mine with all of the toppings I love. Everyone wins!
You start by laying out all of your ingredients on a large counter or table.
Then add any toppings you want. If you are like my daughter, you’ll go straight for the cheese!
Let mom or dad transfer the pizzas to the oven to cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let the pizzas sit for a few minutes until cool enough to eat.
