I am making a double batch of brownies. Do I need to bake them longer than a single batch?

Thank you for reaching out to Ask Betty with your inquiry! We have a recipe to double certain brownie mixes, but not all. I will post the directions along with the specific brownie mix titles. Happy baking!

Double Recipe

Betty Crocker® Premium brownie mixes



Heat oven to 325°. 

 

Grease bottom of 13x9x2-inch rectangular pan. 

 

Prepare batter using 2 packages any Betty Crocker®Premium brownie mix (see list below), double all ingredients for the water, oil and eggs called for on the package directions.   

 

Bake 51 to 53 minutes for shiny metal or glass pan and 45 to 47 minutes for dark nonstick pan. 

 

Cool 1 hour before cutting. 

 

NOTE:  These directions will work only for these UPC’s:

 

16000-81331: Chocolate Chunk 17.9 oz

16000-81332: Dark Chocolate 17.0 oz

16000-81333: Frosted 19.4 oz

16000-81335: Peanut Butter 17.2 oz

16000-81334: Original Supreme 18.4 oz

16000-81337: Triple Chunk 18.9 oz

16000-81338: Turtle Supreme 17.6 oz

16000-81339: Ultimate Fudge 18.0 oz

16000-81341: Walnut 16.5 oz

16000-81336: Walnut Chocolate Chunk 17.2 oz
