Sugary Gingerbread-Oat Chews

- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 3 tablespoons molasses
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 egg
- 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Oatmeal Cookie Mix
- 1/3 cup coarse sugar
Instructions

Step1Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, beat butter, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and egg with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add cookie mix; beat until soft dough forms.

Step2Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in sugar. On ungreased cookie sheets, place balls 2 inches apart.

Step3Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 5 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Store in tightly covered container.
