Enjoy this wonderful Chianti featuring with fruits, vanilla bean and white wine – a perfect cold drink for the autumn.

Ingredients

  • 1 Bartlett pear
  • 3 small apples
  • 3 plums, cut into wedges
  • 1/2 cup cane syrup
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary (4 inch)
  • 1 vanilla bean, split
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) Chianti
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) sparkling white wine, chilled

Instructions

    Cut pear lengthwise into 1/4-inch slices, cutting from stem end through bottom. Cut apples crosswise into 1/4-inch slices.

    In 3-quart glass container, stir together pear, apples, plums, syrup, rosemary sprigs and vanilla bean until fruit is coated. Gradually stir in Chianti. Cover; refrigerate at least 8 hours or up to 24 hours. Remove rosemary and vanilla bean from mixture; discard.

    Stir in sparkling white wine just before serving. Serve over ice.
