Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon instant espresso coffee powder or granules
  • 1 tablespoon hot water
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons caramel sauce
  • A pinch of flaky sea salt, for topping

    Heat oven to 375°F. Dissolve espresso powder in water. In large bowl, mix together cookie mix, cocoa powder, butter, egg, and espresso mixture until a very soft dough forms.

    Use a small cookie scoop to shape dough into 1 1/2-inch balls. On a parchment-lined baking sheet, place balls 2 inches apart. Bake for 11-13 minutes on center rack.

    Cool for 10 minutes on baking sheet. Drizzle with caramel sauce and top with flaky sea salt.
