- 2 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups old-fashioned oats (do not use quick-cooking)
- 1 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
- 1 cup chopped dried pear

Step1Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheets with cooking parchment paper.

Step2In medium bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar with electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well. Beat in flour mixture until blended. Stir in oats. Fold in walnuts and dried pear. Onto cookie sheets, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart.

Step3Bake 12 minutes or until brown around edges. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks.
