Sweet and buttery, this simple sauce will transform baked squash into a stellar side dish.
Honey Spiced Winter Squash

Ingredients
- 3 medium winter squash (acorn, delicata or carnival all work well)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1/3 cup honey
Instructions

Step1Heat oven to 375°F.

Step2Scrub squash to remove any dirt. Cut squash in half lengthwise; remove seeds and fibers. Arrange cut side down in ungreased shallow baking pan. Surround with 1/2 inch hot water.

Step3Bake 30 minutes.

Step4Mix remaining ingredients. Pour off water from baking pan, and turn squash cut side up. Pour mixture into squash cavities.

Step5Bake 15 minutes longer.
