Dulce de Leche Banana Splits

Ingredients

  • 1 can (13.4 oz) dulce de leche (caramelized sweetened condensed milk)
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons milk
  • 2 medium bananas
  • 4 small scoops (1/4 cup each) vanilla ice cream
  • 4 small scoops (1/4 cup each) chocolate ice cream
  • 1 cup whipped cream topping (from aerosol can)
  • 1/2 cup chopped salted dry-roasted peanuts
  • 4 maraschino cherries with stems

Instructions

    In small bowl, stir dulce de leche and enough milk with wire whisk to make a smooth, pourable sauce.

    Cut each banana in half lengthwise and then crosswise. In each of 4 stemmed dessert glasses or bowls, place 2 banana quarters along outer edges. Top each with 1 scoop vanilla ice cream and 1 scoop chocolate ice cream. Spoon dulce de leche mixture evenly over ice cream. Top with whipped cream, peanuts and cherries. Serve immediately.
