Creamy Tomato-Vodka Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
- 1 small onion, chopped (1/3 cup)
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 can (28 oz) Muir Glen™ organic crushed tomatoes with basil, undrained
- 1/2 cup vodka
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt (kosher or sea salt)
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
Instructions

Step1In 10-inch skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Cook onion and garlic in oil 3 to 4 minutes, stirring constantly, until crisp-tender.

Step2Stir in tomatoes, vodka, sugar, salt and pepper. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in whipping cream. Heat just until hot.

Step3Serve over cooked pasta as desired.
