Ingredients
- 5 slightly ripe firm medium Bartlett pears (about 2 3/4 lb), peeled, cut into 1/2-inch slices (about 5 cups)
- 1/2 cup caramel topping
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/3 cup cold butter or margarine
- 16 vanilla wafer cookies, crushed (about 2/3 cup)

Step1Heat oven to 375°F. Lightly spray 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.

Step2In large bowl, mix pears, caramel topping and vanilla until evenly coated. Spoon into baking dish.

Step3In same bowl, mix flour, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter, using pastry blender (or pulling 2 table knives through ingredients in opposite directions), until mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Stir in crushed cookies. Crumble over pear mixture.

Step4Bake uncovered 50 to 60 minutes or until pears are tender and topping is golden brown. Let stand 10 minutes. Serve warm.
