Burger Bowl Potato Pie

When you crave comfort food, try this potato pie! It has a hearty layer of beef baked under creamy, flavorful mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Betty Crocker™ butter & herb mashed potatoes
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    Heat oven to 375°F. Shake 1 packet Potatoes and Seasoning. Measure 1/2 cup from the packet into ungreased pie plate, 10x1 1/2 inches; reserve remaining potatoes for step 3. Stir beef, egg and 2 tablespoons water into potatoes in pie plate. Pat evenly in bottom and up side of pie plate. Bake 20 minutes; drain.

    Stir together 1 1/2 cups hot water and 2 tablespoons butter until butter is melted. Stir in milk and second packet Potatoes and Seasoning. Spoon into pie plate; spread evenly.

    Stir together 1/4 cup melted butter, the Parmesan cheese and reserved potatoes (dry). Sprinkle over top. Bake uncovered 10 minutes.
