Ingredients
- 1 cup blackberry jam
- 1 loaf (12 oz) French bread, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 package (8 oz) 1/3-less-fat cream cheese (Neufchâtel), cut into 1-inch cubes
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- Real maple or maple-flavored syrup, if desired
- Whipped cream, if desired

Step1In small saucepan, cook jam over medium heat 1 to 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until melted and smooth.

Step2Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray. In baking dish, place half of the bread cubes. Top with cream cheese cubes; drizzle with melted jam. Top with remaining bread cubes.

Step3In medium bowl, beat eggs, half-and-half, cinnamon and vanilla with whisk. Pour over bread mixture. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Cover tightly; refrigerate at least 8 hours but no longer than 24 hours.

Step4Heat oven to 325°F. Bake French toast covered 20 minutes. Uncover; bake 10 to 15 minutes longer or until set and bread is golden brown. Serve with syrup and whipped cream.
