- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped (1/2 cup)
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped (1 teaspoon)
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons ground mustard
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 slices lemon, seeds removed
Instructions

Step1In 3-quart saucepan, heat butter over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook 8 to 9 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.

Step2Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; simmer 30 minutes to blend flavors, stirring occasionally.

Step3Remove and discard lemon slices. Store covered in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
