What’s February without some chocolaty indulgence? Our dessert of the month, Caramel-Drizzled Brownie Hearts, makes it oh-so-easy to serve your sweethearts a delicious treat, even when you’re short on time. It starts with Betty Crocker Supreme original brownie mix, and with the help of a heart-shaped cookie cutter, gooey caramel and crunchy pecans, becomes a treat that everyone is guaranteed to love. Here’s how to make it!

1. Heat your oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Line the bottom and sides of a 13x9-inch pan with foil. Grease the bottom of the foil with shortening or cooking spray. Make the brownie mix as directed on box. Cool brownies completely in pan, about 1 hour.
2. Using the foil to lift, remove the brownies from the pan. Remove foil. With a deep 3-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut 12 brownies.
3. In medium microwavable bowl, microwave caramels and whipping cream uncovered on High for 1 to 3 minutes, stirring every minute, until the caramels are melted.
4. Arrange the heart-shaped brownies on serving plate. Drizzle the melted caramel mixture over the brownies. Sprinkle with pecans to finish.

Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box

15caramels, unwrapped (from 14 oz)

4teaspoons heavy whipping cream

2tablespoons chopped pecans

1Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Line 9-inch square pan with foil, allowing some to hang over edges of pan. Grease bottom and sides of foil with shortening or cooking spray. Make and bake brownies as directed on box. Cool completely on cooling rack, about 1 1/2 hours. Freeze in pan 15 minutes.

2Using foil to lift, remove brownies from pan, and peel foil away. With deep 3-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut 7 brownies. Save leftover pieces for snacking.

3In small microwavable bowl, microwave caramels and whipping cream uncovered on High 30 seconds; stir. Continue microwaving in 15 second intervals, until mixture can be stirred smooth.

4Arrange brownies on serving plate. Drizzle about half of the caramel mixture over brownies. Sprinkle with pecans. Serve with remaining caramel mixture.
