These creamy roll-ups in the shape of Christmas trees are the perfect addition to any holiday appetizer table! With just a few ingredients and a little bit of prep, they’ll be ready to be devoured by your party guests.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 pkg. (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup chopped roasted red bell peppers, drained (from 7.25-oz jar)
- 1/4 cup chopped ripe olives
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
- 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 4 spinach-flavor flour tortillas (8 to 10 inches in diameter)
- Ripe olive pieces
In medium bowl, mix all of the ingredients except for the tortillas and olive pieces. Divide evenly among four tortillas and spread the mixture evenly to the edges of each.
Once you’ve spread the mixture, roll each tortilla up tightly in a circular shape.
Once the tortilla has been rolled, use your fingers to press on both sides of the fold to create the triangle (Christmas tree!) shape. Pressing at an angle works best to ensure the fold becomes the pointed part of the triangle. Don’t be afraid to slightly flatten the sides around the fold.
Wrap tortillas in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, but no longer than 24 hours. Wrap tightly enough to preserve triangular shape.
After being refrigerated, cut rolls into ½-inch slices. (Tip: it’s easiest to cut with the point of the triangle on top, and the base of the triangle on bottom so the roll-up stays flat while cutting.)
Using a toothpick, secure an olive piece to the bottom of each triangle resemble a tree trunk.
