Hi, I’m Emily Griffin, the creator behind My Messy Kitchen, where I believe that every recipe tells a story and every mess in the kitchen is a step toward something delicious! Growing up, my earliest and fondest memories of baking were with my family, where we’d create simple, heartfelt dishes. It’s these moments that inspired me to start My Messy Kitchen—a space where I share my love for food in the hopes that it inspires you to create your own memories in the kitchen.

As a passionate home cook and mom of two, I understand that the kitchen is the heart of the home. My recipes reflect my life—fun, a little messy, and packed with flavor. Whether I’m whipping up a weeknight dinner, baking a cake for a special occasion, or just experimenting with new flavors, my goal is to inspire others to embrace the beautiful mess of cooking and to find joy in the process, no matter how chaotic it gets.

I’m thrilled to partner with Betty Crocker, a brand that has been a part of my kitchen since childhood. From the classic yellow cake with chocolate fudge frosting that I used to bake with my mom to the innovative new products that make life easier for busy moms like me, Betty Crocker has always been there to help create those special moments. Together, we’re celebrating the traditions, flavors, and memories that bring us all back to the kitchen, where the best stories are shared, and the best recipes are made.

So, whether you’re a seasoned cook or just starting out, join me in My Messy Kitchen, where we’ll explore new recipes, share a few laughs, and make memories that last a lifetime—one messy, delicious bite at a time.

“Some of the best advice I’ve ever gotten in baking is that timing is everything, so when I bake my desserts, I always start by underbaking. Why? Because if you underbake, you can add more time, but if you overbake there really isn’t any going back. This is a really small tip, but it makes a world of difference and ensures your baked goods come out perfect every time!”
