Heat oven to 350°F. Line 13x9-inch pan with foil, allowing some to extend over edges of pan. Grease bottom and sides of foil with shortening or cooking spray. Make and bake brownies as directed on box. Cool completely on cooling rack, about 1 hour.

Meanwhile, in medium bowl, mix whipped topping and marshmallow creme until well blended. Crumble 6 of the graham crackers into marshmallow mixture; stir to combine. Cover and refrigerate.

Using foil to lift, remove brownies from pan, and peel foil away. Cut brownies into 1-inch pieces. Place half of the brownie pieces in bottom of 3-quart trifle dish. Crumble 2 graham crackers over brownies. Top with half of the marshmallow mixture.

Repeat layers, ending with marshmallow mixture. Crumble remaining 2 graham crackers on top; drizzle with chocolate syrup. Serve immediately. Store covered in refrigerator.
If you don’t have a trifle dish, use a large glass bowl.
Spraying your measuring cup with cooking spray before measuring marshmallow creme will make it easier and less sticky to remove.
Substitute chocolate graham crackers for the regular graham crackers, for even more chocolate flavor!
