- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 large white onion, thinly sliced (1 1/2 cups)
- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Step1In 10-inch skillet, heat oil and sugar over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Add onion; cook 10 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently, until tender and light golden brown. Remove onion from skillet.
