This spunky green-flecked salad dressing can also be used as a sauce for hot or cold seafood or poultry. We loved it with deep-fried shrimp and pan-seared scallops. Make it your way with the variation below.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 8 anchovy fillets, finely chopped*
  • 3 tablespoons tarragon or wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Instructions

    In small bowl, mix all ingredients until well blended. Cover; refrigerate at least 2 hours to blend flavors.
