Beach Ball Party Chex Mix

Beach balls aren’t just for the water any more. Case in point? This quick-to-fix summertime snack! While you take care of microwaving, little hands can help pour, mix and, of course, taste-test. It’s an ideal mix to munch on road trips, pool dates and can even pull together a beach-themed party spread when presented in a bucket with a little scoop for serving. Here’s how to make it! 

Start by pouring the cereal, pretzels and crackers into a large, microwave-safe bowl.

Mix until well combined.

Microwave butter on high 30 to 60 seconds until melted. Stir in dry ranch dressing mix and stir together until no clumps remain.

Pour the butter mixture evenly over cereal, gently stirring cereal until cereal is evenly coated.

Microwave on high for 4 minutes, pausing to stir the mixture every minute.

Stir in the puffed cheese balls. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Beach Ball Party Chex Mix

Ingredients

    • 3cups Rice Chex™ cereal
    • 3cups Corn Chex™ cereal
    • 1cup tiny fish-shaped pretzel crackers
    • 1cup tiny fish-shaped cheese-flavored crackers
    • 1/2cup butter
    • 1tablespoon dry ranch dressing mix
    • 2cups puffed cheese balls

Directions

  • 1In large microwavable bowl, place cereals and crackers. Mix until combined.
  • 2In small microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High 30 to 60 seconds or until melted. Stir in dry ranch dressing mix until no clumps remain.
  • 3Pour butter mixture evenly over cereal mixture. Carefully stir until evenly coated. Microwave uncovered on High 4 minutes, stirring every minute.
  • 4Stir in cheese balls. Cool 5 minutes before serving. Serve immediately, or store in airtight container.
